Construction of an engineering structure linking Route X20 to the Chinese Runway

The project involves the construction of an engineering structure to connect the X20 road to the Chinese track in the governorate of Mannouba. This infrastructure includes the construction of five slip roads, as well as stormwater management systems connected to the existing wadi (dry riverbed). The X20 road has two lanes in each direction, with 8-meter-wide carriageways and a 12-meter-wide central reservation. The Djebel Ammar road has two two-way lanes, a 5-meter-wide carriageway, and a 2-meter-wide shoulder. A bridge perpendicular to the X20, 64.15 meters long and 11.8 meters wide, has been constructed.

  • Land clearance and earthworks: Preparatory work, topsoil stripping and earthmoving (cut/fill)
  • Construction of the Engineering Structure: Construction of a bridge 64.15 m long and 11.8 m wide crossing the X20, including deep foundations, supports, deck and restraint devices.
  • Road Infrastructure: Development of Route X20, rehabilitation of the Djebel Ammar Road (5m two-way road), construction of 5 connecting ramps and roadway improvements
  • Sanitation and Hydraulics: Implementation of the rainwater drainage system and development of discharge structures towards the existing wadi.
  • Public Lighting: Installation of the underground electrical network and control cabinets.
  • Installation of lampposts throughout the interchange and the engineering structure.
