The project consists of the construction of the Djerba seawater desalination plant with an initial capacity of 50,000 m³/day, expandable to 75,000 m³/day. The main structures built include the reverse osmosis building, the pretreatment building, the administration building, the pumping station, the distribution networks, the infrastructure (roads, utilities, etc.), and the coastal and seawater intake structures.
